How come he wasn't going for chokes when he kept getting your back?

for one he never 'got my back' he had control but never got the hooks.

second, he never had the opportunity to go for a choke, my defense from that position is getting very good.

in the final-regulation time, i reverse him from when he was on top half guard and thought he would try a kneebar, i manage to reverse the position. reversals score 2pts, at the end of the match it was 0-0, go figure. ref should have made a decision after 1 overtime, go figure. i went balls out in the 2nd overtime because i wanted to end the match thats why i lost position and pts.

Certainly looked like a good match, and yeah, i noticed he couldn't get the hooks in.

Really? What were the points difference you took the piss out of him completely that triangle looked nice and tight, surprised he got out of that.

well spains only bjj black belt in my weight category. the crowd were miffed he lost.

pts were, 8-4.

he scored 4 for his takedown, i scored 2 for the reversal, 3 for passing guard and 3 for taking his back.

any lesser human would've tapped from the triangle.

Andy I really enjoyed those video's you posted for us to watch this has once again inspired me to get off my butt and get back into shape.
