I think the white and black are good for training because the group wear the same thing. I think the red and blue aer good for competitions though as it gives you a different identity.

I prefer a white gi but if people want to wear different colours then thats fine.

Their were a few yello gis in my traditional days but thats because the dirty b****** didnt wash it.

I prefer a blue or a white gi, i wouldnt wear black nor would i wear red.

Dont think i've seen a yellow one in the shops but i seriuosly wouldnt wear one!

judo and bjj kimono pretty much the same although the bjj arms are a tighter fit if that makes sense? my club tjj gi was crap more like a karate gi really thin and would always rip. Their is a difference in price aswell my bjj gis cost me about £100 but lot cheaper now.

xhunter:
Ask your instrukter what you are alowed to wear. That´s the easy way.

I personally don´t care if people buy them self a polka dottet gi.
What i care about i safety. (no piercings, no zippers ect.)

Since I'm only happy when I'm spending money on a hobby, I'm struggling with the idea of getting a new gi. Anyone know a UK online store that has Mizuno in stock? Or any other high quality judo comp legal gi would be good for me to consider.

Anyone have their own preferences to top end kit?
