Thursday 14th April 2005 at 10:54 And I thought I had it bad because every time I think my whiplash has gone away, it comes back worse whenever I train/play footy/play golf/sleep funny/etc. I was moaning about training last night and how I couldn't roll properly, I was getting tapped all the time etc (no change there), but I'll shut my mouth in future. Thursday 14th April 2005 at 11:07 I know karate is a no no subject but i met a guy who was i think 2nd dan and he got himself into a car 1 night and had a very very serious accident. The story goes he coudln't walk again and was in really bad shape.Anyway that thing you call determination kicked in and postive thinking and hey he got himself back training against all odds.He started down the dojo on cruches and thats no lie. Also he gain his 3rd dan which was a big acheivement for him and yes there were blackbelts with tears in there eyes and he gave inspiration to all.GOOD LUCK WITH ALL FUTURE OPS and never say NO.:-D |

Thursday 14th April 2005 at 17:03 Yeah, can still do upper body weights, and was training legs at gym before the op, so between now and when I have the op on the ligaments i'm gonna build my legs up loads, coz it helps to stabilise the knee once i've had the operation. I'll be back, just won't be for a while, depending on how much I have to wait for the next op. I cheered up a bit, was just a blow, because I thought after this operation I'd be sorted after a couple of weeks, but it turns out it's worse. However, my claim goes to court soon, so hopefully I can get some money outta the council. It should be a fair whack too as it's permanent damage, so If I do get a lump, I can afford a really good physiotherapist (correct spelling - Robsco :-p) and get myself sorted. and as bass says, there's always masterbation! _____________________________ |
